Hamster Kombat, once a titan in the tap-to-earn gaming world on Telegram, has witnessed a dramatic decrease in users and engagement due to various factors, including political controversies, bans, and stiff competition.
At its peak in August, Hamster Kombat boasted 300 million users. However, as of November 5, the game only has 41 million active monthly players, marking an alarming 86% decline in its user base.
In stark contrast, Paws, a new Mini App recently launched on Telegram, has been experiencing a meteoric rise in popularity. Within just eight days of its launch, Paws has amassed a user base of 20.5 million, surpassing the growth trajectory of Hamster Kombat.
According to data from IntoTheBlock (ITB), active addresses for Hamster Kombat peaked at around 772,330 on September 27. Since then, both user activity and token interest have plummeted, with a more than 36% decrease in the past week alone.
The HMSTR token price, which marked an all-time high of $0.01 on September 26, has plummeted by nearly 70%, hovering around $0.0022 as of November 4. This drop correlates with a diminishing network engagement and a decline in daily active users.
Despite the dwindling user activity and token value, the total number of addresses holding HMSTR has continued to rise, reaching a 30-day high of 3.5 million holders on November 4.
On the other hand, the Paws Mini App saw exceptional growth, attracting over 11 million users within the first two days. An announcement made on November 4 revealed that the app had garnered 10 million connected wallets and amassed one million followers on its X account.
In conclusion, the gaming landscape on Telegram is evolving rapidly, with the rise of Paws and the fall of Hamster Kombat highlighting the intense competition and shifting dynamics in the industry.
