Near Protocol has introduced an innovative crosschain AI assistant that has the capability to launch memecoins in mere seconds and scour the web to make purchases using fiat currency.
Soon, this powerful AI assistant will be able to perform additional functions like booking flights and ordering takeout from traditional Web2 platforms, catering to a wide range of user needs.
TheNEAR.AI Assistantmade its debut at the Redacted conference in Bangkok on Oct. 10, presented by co-founder Illia Polusukhin. This event also marked the protocol’s announcement of a grand vision to construct the world’s largest open-source AI model.
During the conference, Polusukhin showcased the AI Assistant’s astounding abilities. From swiftly creating a backstory, website, and logo for a new Frog memecoin to launching it instantly on Near’s Pump.fun, the assistant proved its efficiency.
Moreover, the AI assistant effortlessly designed a mock website interface and searched for a custom T-shirt printer, highlighting its versatility and resourcefulness.
Although flight booking capabilities are not currently active in the alpha version, Polusukhin assured that the feature is in the works. He emphasized that the platform is open for anyone to contribute agent functionalities, expanding the assistant’s utility for all users.
Unique to Near’s AI Assistant is its chain abstraction technology, enabling seamless asset swaps through simple transactions. This technology, known asNear Intents, is now available in beta, offering native asset swaps between major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Near ProtocolNEAR.
Additionally, Near Protocol plans to integrate Solana, Telegram Open Network, DogecoinDOGE, and other cryptocurrencies to expand the AI assistant’s capabilities and enhance decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities.
By eliminating the need for atomic swaps or intermediary assets, Near’s Intents protocol streamlines blockchain communication, facilitating swift transactions without complications.
Incorporating market makers to ensure trade executions, Near’s technology bridges DeFi liquidity from centralized platforms like Binance, opening new avenues for AI agents and users alike.
