A talented Bitcoin street artist known as “Street” recently held an eye-catching Bitcoin art exhibition in Barcelona, drawing in over a thousand attendees who were intrigued by the artwork and the message it conveyed about the power of Bitcoin.
The exhibition, titled “Art of Revolution,” took place at the Artevistas Gallery in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, attracting art lovers and Bitcoin enthusiasts alike. The artwork on display combined traditional and contemporary styles to showcase how Bitcoin can bring about a more fair and equitable world.
According to Street, the exhibition was a huge success, with around 70% of the 400 Bitcoin artworks sold to a diverse audience ranging from school children to business professionals and art collectors. The exhibition was initially scheduled to run from Sept. 24 to Oct. 20 but was extended due to popular demand.
Street noted that many visitors were inspired to reconsider their views on Bitcoin and its potential to reshape the financial system. The unpredictable economy in Spain may have played a role in sparking interest in Bitcoin art, but Street emphasized that the primary goal of the exhibition was to educate and inspire rather than capitalize on economic conditions.
The success of the exhibition has caught the attention of other galleries in Europe, who are now interested in hosting similar events in the future. Street CY₿ER, a collective of educators, artists, and activists, aims to spread Bitcoin’s message through street art, creating thought-provoking pieces that touch on themes of financial privacy, inflation, and war.
