In a historic milestone for the cryptocurrency market, stablecoin inflows to crypto exchanges have surged to an all-time monthly high of over $9.7 billion. This significant increase in investor interest suggests that Bitcoin may be on track to hit the coveted $100,000 mark before the end of November.
According to Leon Waidmann, Head of Research at The Onchain Foundation, the record-breaking stablecoin inflows signal a potential uptick in demand from crypto investors. These inflows serve as a key indicator of buying pressure and growing appetite among investors, as stablecoins serve as the primary bridge from fiat to the crypto world.
The surge in stablecoin inflows could have a substantial impact on the price of Bitcoin, the world’s first cryptocurrency. Tether’s minting of $1.3 billion worth of USDT from August 5-9 coincided with a significant price recovery for Bitcoin, which saw a 21% surge from a five-month low of $49,500 to $60,200 by August 9.
Analysts, including Ryan Lee, Chief Analyst at Bitget Research, anticipate that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by the end of the month. This bullish sentiment is further supported by the continuous inflows into US Bitcoin ETFs, which totaled over $773 million in cumulative net positive inflows on November 20.
The US spot Bitcoin ETFs have also seen sustained growth, recording their sixth consecutive week of net positive inflows and accumulating over $1.67 billion in the trading week of November 11-15. As Bitcoin continues to gain momentum, investors are closely watching for the potential price surge that could accompany the record influx of stablecoins into the market.
