As Bitcoin continues its bullish trend, traders are anticipating “insane long opportunities” in the coming months as the cryptocurrency enters a price discovery phase.
According to trader and analyst Daan Crypto Trades, Bitcoin has officially started its price discovery phase for this cycle, trading above its previous all-time high for almost a month. Previous market cycles have seen significant gains during this stage, with Bitcoin surging 1,600% in the 2017 bull market and 245% in the 2021 bull market.
With Bitcoin’s recent price action, traders like Charles Edwards of Capriole Fund are predicting substantial returns during the price discovery phase. Edwards noted that historically, Bitcoin has seen 4-7 months of remarkable price discovery returns in each cycle. The first month of the current cycle, November, saw a 40% surge in Bitcoin’s price, breaking monthly candle records.
Analysts are also optimistic about Bitcoin’s performance in December, with expectations of further increases. Markus Thielen, founder and CEO of 10x Research, highlighted Bitcoin’s historical performance in December, averaging a 10% increase with exceptional results in halving years such as 2012, 2016, and 2020.
While some analysts warn of a potential correction, others like John Glover, chief investment officer at Ledn, believe that Bitcoin could reach the $125,000 mark before any significant pullback.
