Atack, a seasoned developer who joined Bitcoin Core in 2019, will now be able to focus on his crucial work thanks to the financial support provided by Maelstrom.
Arthur Hayes, the chief investment officer at Maelstrom, expressed his excitement about supporting Atack’s work on Bitcoin. He highlighted the fund’s goal of backing experienced Bitcoin Core developers like Atack, with a vision to educate the next generation of developers in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
In response to receiving the grant, Atack emphasized the significance of open-source software and Bitcoin in advocating for causes like human freedom, decentralization of power, individual privacy, and self-sovereignty.
