The ASI Alliance, composed of SingularityNET, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol, is thrilled to announce the addition of a new member, Cudos. The decentralized cloud computing provider is set to join pending community approval through a vote scheduled for September 19-24.
If approved, the integration will lead to a token merger between Cudos and the Alliance’s FET token. Matt Hawkins, founder and CEO of Cudos, emphasized the added computational resources and utility this partnership will bring to ASI in a recent Q&A.
By incorporating Cudos into the Alliance, the group gains access to decentralized cloud computing network capabilities, utilizing advanced GPUs to enhance AI processing. This expansion aims to boost the Alliance’s computing power while reducing dependency on centralized providers like Amazon.
ASI Alliance’s commitment to establishing decentralized cloud infrastructure is further solidified with this fourth-member addition. Humayun Sheikh, chairman of the ASI Alliance and CEO of Fetch.ai, highlighted the group’s dedication to transitioning the FET token to ASI in another Q&A.
Decentralized computing is championed by Sheikh as superior to centralized computing, enabling global resource distribution and fostering innovation. This move democratizes access to AI technologies for a diverse range of users.
Despite potential resistance from centralized entities, multiple cryptocurrency exchanges have supported the migration of the Ocean Protocol native token into FET, with the exception of Coinbase. The community eagerly anticipates the growth and innovation that the ASI Alliance’s expansion with Cudos will bring.
